  1. EDU 572 Studies on Compulsory Curriculum [3]
  2. This course provides students the basic concept of common curriculum and the themes, such as inquiry into the theoretical ground for common curriculum for all children. It will also examine the theoretical justification for required curriculum for all people.

  3. EDU 573 Studies on Elective Curriculum [3]
  4. This course is prepared to examine the curriculum development for secondary schools, and the curricula that are selectively applied according to learner's aptitude, academic ability, and career plan.

  5. EDU 626 Comparative Studies on Subjects Curriculum [3]
  6. The focus of the course is on the nature of school subject, historical trajectory of school subjects; the comparative research on aims, objectives, content frameworks of school subjects; and the coordination and alignment of subject's role, status, areas, and weight.

  7. EDU 628 Methodology for Curriculum Studies [3]
  8. Through this course, students will learn different methods for curricular case studies. They will examine quantitative methods for needs assessment, such as two-way ANOVA, ANCOVA, and Multiple Regression, and qualitative methods for curriculum development, implementation and evaluation.

  10. What are curriculum standards? In this course, students learn about the trends of curriculum standards development in the developed countries; and also have a chance to make a framework of curriculum standards, and a comparative study on curriculum standards.

  14. The focus of the course is on understanding the history of curriculum theories and the history of curriculum practices as well as studying the main literatures on curriculum development. Reading materials on the curriculum theory and practice of the last 100 years will be provided.

  26. The main themes of this course are the investigation on the kinds of curriculum materials, the study on textbook publishing system, and the inquiry on digital textbook.

  27. EDU 924 Implementation and Management of Curriculum [3]
  28. What is the difference between curriculum operation and instruction? In this course students learn about the nature of curriculum management; curriculum management of teaching staff, student accommodation, finance, and facilities; case study on curriculum management by school administrators.

  29. EDU 927 Curriculum Evaluation [3]
  30. This course studies the framework, principle, and methods for evaluating the curriculum according to the level (school, region, nation), components (general framework for curriculum, subject area curriculum, special activities, etc.) and its phases.
